Fewer health concerns and allergies
My 13 year old German Shepherd loves this food. She was allergic to poultry and fowl as well as pork/ham. Even tried other lamb and rice foods but she would not touch it. I raised her two litters of puppies on this food to ten weeks old and some wouldn’t change foods! Excellent food for my babies! Fewer health issues as well when on this food for their first year of life!
Excellent food
My breeder recommended a lamb and rice food to start puppies off for their first year of life to stave off allergies later in life. So I put my pregnant German shepherd on this food, and raised her pups to 10 weeks old on it. The puppies that stayed on this for a year had fewer allergies and were much healthier than the litter mates put on puppy foods. I’ve tried her on other name brands of dog food and she refuses to eat those, so I have to keep finding her food locally of which only one place in my county sells this brand, and they order it in specifically for me. Ira’s 8 year old daughter that lives next door has had many health problems whereas her 8 year old brother (around the corner) has other health issues but their mother, Ira, who’s nearly 13 has had few health problems. I recommend this food and the other foods to many owners. Some of the other litter mates eating Canadian Natural Foods are doing very well with few health problems!
Only problem I have is finding this food locally
Best Chicken-Free Dog Food
I’ve got an American lab who’s sensitive to chicken among other things and gets yeast infections. When I switched to Canadian naturals lamb and brown rice his symptoms cleared and his coat looks amazing. Been consistent with Canadian naturals for the last 3 years, I’ll never switch. Glad to support local too!
11 year old border collie
Our border collie enjoys this food. It is a little lower in protein than some and this seems to be good for him – too much protein and he gets diarrhea. No corn or soy is good.
